Errante No.1
Errante No.1
One day, my professor told me, “Write a story.” I wrote a parable, and in the next class, when I showed it to him, he said, “Now I want you to paint ten paintings about this parable.”
I created much more than ten.
All my work came from that parable. The parable is a story that grows with each stage of my life; it is unfinished because I am still creating it. In it, I narrate my experience of being born and raised in a communist country under a dictatorship, as well as my life as an immigrant.
All the paintings are coded, and their meanings are encrypted in La Parábola. What began as a small story has become a symbolic universe of paintings, music, and unpublished poems.

Errante No.1 belongs to Errante, an unfinished small series within Imposibilitados.
In this work, the figure appears alone, bent under the pull of several lines that rise from his body into a dark and unstable atmosphere. The landscape around him does not offer shelter. It feels vast, uncertain, and suspended between night, memory, and distance.
The man is not simply walking. He is being drawn, carried, and resisted by invisible forces. His body seems small in relation to the weight above him, yet the painting does not present him as completely defeated. There is still movement. There is still a fragile persistence.
Within La Parábola, Errante No.1 speaks of the human being before clarity arrives — a figure moving through inner exile, unable to name the force that pulls him, but still compelled to continue.

Remarks:
Errante No.1 is a small work with a quiet and intimate presence. Its scale makes it ideal for a personal study, reading room, hallway, or private collection wall. The piece invites close viewing, where the tension between the fragile figure and the vast surrounding atmosphere can be felt more deeply.
As part of Imposibilitados, this painting carries the early wound of La Parábola: the human being moving through uncertainty, still searching for a path, still unable to separate freedom from burden.
