Desvanecimiento No.1

Desvanecimiento did not appear as an isolated image. It arrived because La Parábola needed this moment.

For years I have been building this story through paintings, poetry, and music, allowing each body of work to emerge when the narrative demands a change. After the tension of the earlier chapters, I understood that the man, Adam, and Eve could not simply enter Brumas. Something had to happen first.

That moment is Desvanecimiento.

I was interested in that uncomfortable territory where something is still with us, yet has already begun to slip away. It has not disappeared enough for us to accept its loss, nor does it remain fully enough for us to feel secure.

I know that feeling.

Perhaps we all do, in one way or another: looking at something we believed was stable and realizing that it is slowly ceasing to be what it once was.

Desvanecimiento No.1 marks that threshold within La Parábola. The mist will come later. Here, there is still one final moment of recognition.

And perhaps that is precisely why some losses affect us so deeply:

because for a while, we are able to watch them happen.
